Thinking about studying from home but have a few questions you’d like to ask first? Look no further!
Q: WHAT IF I HAVEN’T STUDIED FOR YEARS?
A: First of all; don’t worry! Most of our students haven’t studied for some time. Our courses take this in to account and your personal tutor is also on hand if you get stuck.
Q: WHAT SKILLS DO I NEED TO ENROL ON A COURSE?
A: Most of our courses require little or no previous knowledge so are ideal for beginners. If the course requires some previous skills, we advise you of the on the course page.
Q: IS THERE A TIME LIMIT TO COMPLETE A COURSE?
A: All of our courses have a time limit for completion. All we ask is that if you intend to take a study break, then please let your tutor know. The maximum study break allowed is 6 months.
Q: WHEN DO THE COURSES START?
A: Home learning has no term dates and is designed to be flexible for each student. You can choose when you wish to start and finish your course and can study at your own pace.
Q: WHEN DO I RECEIVE MY COURSE MATERIALS?
A: We aim to provide your course materials as quickly as possible. Online study students will receive course materials within 72 hours. All other students will receive their course materials within 10 working days, but it will usually be less. As soon as you receive your materials you may start your course.
Q: WHAT IS INCLUDED IN THE COST OF MY COURSE?
A: Our courses include everything you need to take you up to completion of the course. This includes comprehensive course materials and unlimited tutor support.
Q: WHAT IF I NEED HELP?
A: You will be allocated a personal tutor who will advise and guide you when you require support throughout the course.
Q: CAN I GET FUNDING FOR MY COURSE?
A: At this time, we don’t have any funding available. Please get in touch and discuss your individual requirements though; we’ll do everything we can to help you.
Q: ARE THERE ANY AGE LIMITS?
A: Education should be available to everyone and so we welcome students of all ages. As a guideline our courses are generally written for students who are above sixteen. Access to GCSEs is from fourteen.
Q: I’VE SEEN YOUR COURSE CHEAPER ELSEWHERE, WILL YOU PRICE MATCH?
A: Although there are other courses with the same titles please do bear in mind that we have put a lot of time and effort in to producing an easy to follow and quality learning experience and we are also the original authors of many courses. Not all products are created equally and we would ask you to consider whether it’s best to go with the cheapest provider. Our service is truly unlimited and we pride ourselves in our high pass rates.
Q: IS THERE A REQUIRED READING LIST?
A: Our courses are designed to include all of the information you require, in the course materials we provide. Most of our courses do not require you to study from any other textbooks. However, the GCSE and A-Level courses may require you to read some external books. These can be supplied by us or purchased in any good book store.
Q: DO I HAVE TO SIT AN EXAM?
A: Our courses are designed to be assessed through coursework which will be marked by your tutor and sent to you via email or our tutor portal. A small number of courses, such as A-Levels and GCSEs require an external examination which will be advised on the individual course page.
Q: DO YOU OFFER COURSES IF I LIVE OUTSIDE OF THE UK?
A: You are still able to study for any of our courses. Our overseas students often prefer the on-line study option as it is a faster and more convenient way to get work assessed. You will however be required to take any examinations within the UK which are required on a small number of our courses (such and GCSEs and A-Levels). We’re currently building a network of international exam centres so do check the individual course page; there may be a new exam centre closer to you.
Q: HOW DO I GET MY WORK ASSESSED?
A: It does depend on the course you choose to study. Your tutor will advise you how to submit work to them but generally this is done via email or via our tutor support portal.
Q: HOW DO I PAY FOR MY COURSE?
A: There are several ways to pay; the easiest is via our self-service website, where there are several payment methods such credit or debit card. If you prefer, speak to one of our Student Advisers over the phone.

A: We offer a fourteen day money back guarantee. If you wish to cancel your course please return all course material to us within fourteen days and we will give you a full refund.
Q: WHAT IF I STILL HAVE QUESTIONS?
A: We’re always here to help and answer any questions you may have. Please see our contact page for ways to chat to us for more information.
